This outstanding new recording from the brilliant young guitarist Admir Doçi features a wide range of music for solo guitar, with songs for soprano and guitar by Joaquin Rodrigo, music for flute and guitar and for guitar and harpsichord, extending from late medieval times and the Renaissance to quite modern pieces by various composers, many of whom are associated with Switzerland. The CD includes first recordings and music by Admir Doçi himself, and the brilliance and authority of his playing places him in the highest class of contemporary guitarists. The recording is state of the art.
