Musica Sveciae
The Swedish symphony is rooted in the Age of Liberty (1718-1771). The circle of music cognoscenti and music lovers expanded, public concerts began to be arranged and freestanding orchestral compositions to be written. Recorded here are nine sinfonias by six composers, sought-after classics of Swedish symphonic history, for the first time on CD.
