Disc No: CDS-555
Price: Sek. 70 In 1971, when the Italian Government purchased the Paganini autograph scores and finally made them accessible to scholars from all over the world, we finally discovered that the Genoese violinist’s production for the guitar was far richer and more organic than had previously been supposed. Paganini wrote the 43 Ghiribizzi in Naples about 1820, probably to please some young client. The occasional, carefree character of these compositions is clearly stated in the title Ghiribizzi [Whimsical Trifles], intended especially in the sense of little compositions of no great importance, of free and witty character, rather than in the sense of “capricci”, even in miniature format.       Dynamic on sale
