| Price: Sek. 70 | Robert Schumann once wrote, about Paganini’s Caprices, that they were like diamonds, and that they would benefit from the richer setting provided by a piano: maybe that was the reason why in 1853/56 he wrote a piano accompaniment to all 24 of them. In the present CD renowned violinist Ruggiero Ricci, with his customary zest, plays the Genoese composer’s 24 pieces over the orchestral accompaniment written by Hungarian composer Laszlo Meszlenyi, which, for the first 23 pieces, is based on Robert Schumann’s piano accompaniment.
